Well, I've done it. I've finally gotten my act together and made a real grown-up website! It had to be done. I really don't know why I spent so long dragging my feet on this. In reality, I love designing websites; I'm just really bad at seeing them through. The problem is that after I've spent a few hours staring at the same design, my excitement about it changes to a fairly intense hatred – but not this time!
I have to admit, I'm not very good at writing blogs. It's difficult not to nit-pick and worry that something I say might sound dumb. But I'm going to get over it and do it anyway because, like I implied earlier, I'm being a grown-up, and grown-ups know that websites with active blogs get significantly more traffic than those without them! So, here I go:
I want to talk about the shoot I got to do Sunday before last. Way back in February, I was contacted by an old high school acquaintance. She and her high school sweetheart (now husband) are expecting a little girl, and they wanted me to take some maternity photos once she started to show a little more. Let me tell you, I was so excited. Not to sound creepy, but I've been dying to photograph them ever since I found their wedding/engagement photos online a few years ago. Okay, maybe a little creepy. But that's alright. They're just one of those couples who are clearly so in love, I knew it would show through in their pictures. And you know what? I was right! We had to reschedule quite a few times before the Seattle weather decided to cooperate, but we finally managed to meet up on a beautiful day last week. The weather was a little hotter than I would have liked, but I'm thrilled with the way everything turned out. And I am SO excited to take their newborn photos next month.
